Pipe cleaner flowers
Pipe cleaner flowers are very easy to make and they look great. It is also a cheap craft project as you can pick up a pack of pipe cleaners in large supermarkets or art and crafts shops for less than £1.
Make a whole bunch of them for a cute Mother's Day Craft or turn them into pipe cleaner jewellery.

You will need a green pipe cleaner for the stem of your flower and a different coloured pipe cleaner for the petals.
Cut the green pipe cleaner in half.
|
|
|
Take the other pipe cleaner and bend it in half. Then make two zig zag shapes either side of this bend. Your pipe cleaner should resemble the photo to the left.
Bring the ends together and fold down the zig zags you made to make petals.
To secure the flower, twist the two ends together. Press this against the bottom of one of the petals to flatten and conceal it.

|
Take the green pipe cleaner and bend it over the centre of the flower. Leave about 2 inches free at the end.
Cross the pipe cleaner between the petals. When this is done, twist the end around the flower stem to secure it.

|
Your flower is finished. Make a whole bunch in different colours!
Now try making the flowers into pipe cleaner jewellery or have a go at making pipe cleaner animals.
