Easter Basket
Depending on the ability of the child, this may be too fiddley for young children, but for slightly older children this is an easy Easter craft and it looks effective.
You will need:
A plastic pot/tub
Wool
Card
Scissors
Ribbon, etc, to decorate (optional)
I used a Greek yoghurt pot for this but any plastic pot will do, such as a butter tub, etc. Make sure it is well washed.
Cut slits down the side of the pot at intervals of approximately 2 inches.
Tie the end of your wool around one of the plastic struts to secure it then start weaving the wool in and out. Every time you finish a few rows, push them down to give a neater finish.
When the pot is completely covered in wool make a handle for your basket. Cut a strip of card then glue or tape each end to the inside of your pot. Wind wool around the handle to cover it, pushing the rows tightly together.
Next, add any embellishments and decorations. I put a strip of sticky backed ribbon around the top of the basket, lined it with tissue paper and decorated it with paper flowers.
The last step is to fill your basket with chocolate eggs!
