Cow Marionette
Make a puppet from a toilet roll tube and a couple of lolly sticks!
You can make the puppet more robust by using a needle to sew the legs, etc, to the body, but bearing in mind this is
a children's craft I have just used sellotape in the tutorial and that works fine.
You will need:
Empty toilet roll tube
Card
Thread
Sellotape
Glue
Scissors
Pencils/pens/wiggley eyes, etc to decorate
Beads
Wool

Glue two lolly sticks together in a cross shape and leave to dry.
Decorate the empty loo roll to look like a cow's body. I covered it in white and black paper, but you could also paint it.

Make a head from a piece of card (I then decorated it with pen and two wiggley eyes). Make four legs and a tail by threading a bead onto a length
of wool or string and then securing with a knot.
Sellotape the legs into place, hiding the tape by attaching the wool/string to the inside of the tube. The head is attached to the body by a piece of wool with one end taped to
the back of the head and the other end to the inside of the body.

Cut four pieces of thread, approximately 30cm long. These will be the strings of the marionette.
Tape the first string to the back of the head, tie the second to the tail (underneath the bead so it is secure) and tape the remaining two
strings to either side of the cow's body. Then tie each piece of string to one of the points on the lolly stick cross you made in the first step.

Hold onto the lolly sticks and move the cross from side to side to make your cow puppet walk and dance!
